Aeons

Aeons are different from regular summons of FF:LotD. Unlike regular summons Aeons take place of the whole party as one powerful unit in battle. When put into battle the summoner himself/herself will choose who in her party will control the Aeon. From there the Aeon will fight by itself until it either defeats the opponent(s), gets defeated, or it called back by the person controlling it.

Each Aeon has its own special abilities, some that they start with, and others that must be unlocked by going on other quests. Aeons also have their own set of stats, and can raise them just like a player can through battles. But do keep in mind that they only have win stats to gain which count for every person they defeat. If the person is later revived, and defeated again by the Aeon then the Aeon will gain two win gains. Be careful though, because if the Aeon is ever defeated in battle all of its wins for that battle are lost with it.

One last note. Only one Aeon is allowed in a battle per party. You may also hold Aeon battles, which have different rules than regular party battles. The winner of the Aeon battle will gain triple the amount of stats that it would for a regular win. Multiple Aeon battles may also be held in two methods, elimination, and survival.

Elimination:
Either three, five, or seven aeons may be used in this method. It is simple. Each summoner will secretly tell the ref which Aeon they will draw out for each round, and the ref will announce them into the arena. This is so nobody can pick on the other Aeon's weakness so easily. The Aeons will face eachother until one wins. The winner will get triple their win stats, and the loser will get their regular win stats. They will go on until the summoner has won the best of match. So two wins ends a three Aeon match, three wins ends a five Aeon match, and four wins ends a seven Aeon match.

Survival:
Aeons will battle eachother one on one. Each summoner must have the same amount of Aeons being used in this method. It will work like a pokemon battle (if you have ever seen the show, or played the game) where you will call out one Aeon at a time. The Aeons will battle head to head, and may be switched out of battle at any time. Warning though. Switching an Aeon will take up a whole turn. The battle will go on until all of one of the summoner's Aeons have been defeated. Each Aeon that defeated another Aeon will get triple their winning stats, and if an Aeon with a win was defeated they get the regular gain for a win, whether the summoner won or lost the Aeon battle
